Blended Learning Means Hands-On Training and Flexible Schedules
The MH Vicars program is delivered through blended learning, which combines the best of full-time-classroom training and distance learning. Students visit campus 4 days per month and complete additional training both online and in your own home. On-campus sessions allow you to receive personalized instruction and connect live with fellow students, while independent study provides the freedom and flexibility to customize your learning to best suit you.
I am very grateful for this program, which allowed me to fulfill my heart’s desire to become a registered massage therapist and get a full 2200-hour program through blended learning. I live in Golden, BC and it would have been difficult to attend school full time in Vernon or Vancouver, but Calgary was close enough for me to travel to class once a month. Every time I got my books out to complete the assignments or to study I felt a great excitement. The same feeling came over me when I got into my car and started driving through the Kicking Horse Canyon on my way to Calgary each week.
Public Clinic: It’s Real-World Experience in a Supervised Setting
Massage is a hands-on career, so we give you a lot of hands-on training. In addition to the practice massages you’ll be performing on your family and friends during your independent study time, our program offers a lot of opportunities to practice massage on members of the public. You’ll get practice treating all kinds of bodies and conditions, and get an inside look at how a real clinic operates—all under the close supervision of our trained staff.
