New for 2022: A Daily Class Option
As an adult preparing for a new career, you have a lot of responsibility and demands on your time. That’s still true if you’re someone whose learning style or lifestyle makes a Monday-to-Friday class a more appealing option than blended learning.
Our daily class option—starting in September 2022 in Calgary—is a brand new way for students to get a top-quality massage therapy education on a schedule that meets their needs.
The daily class covers the exact same material as our blended-learning classes, just on a different timetable. As a result, students in the daily class will get an education that meets Canada’s highest national curriculum standards, and they’ll be in demand by employers and clients as soon as they graduate!
How does the daily class work?
As a daily student, your 2200-hour massage therapy education will be delivered as 5 terms. During each term, you’ll attend class Monday-Friday from 9am-4:30pm.
Your hands-on training, quizzes, lectures, group work, and student practicum clinics will all happen within this in-class time. The core science courses (Anatomy & Physiology, Pathology) will be delivered online and supported by face-to-face instruction from our faculty experts.
Outside of the classroom hours and during the breaks between terms, you will work on independent projects, study for quizzes and exams, practice on friends and family, and do reading assignments.
Whether you choose a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule, you are a full-time student.
Daily students who begin in September 2022 will graduate in December 2023.
Is the daily class right for you?
The daily class may be a good fit if you:
- Prefer to work as a group rather than independently
- Work best when you have a strong structure and routine
- Have no previous post-secondary experience
- Live near the Calgary campus and don’t have other commitments during the weekday
This class is designed specifically for students who enjoy working collaboratively and who want more face-to-face time with their instructors and classmates. And because it’s similar to the traditional public school learning schedule, it may be a better choice for recent high-school graduates than our blended-learning options.

Learning together as a team
When you become a Vicars student, you aren’t just joining a school: you’re joining a community. You’ll immediately be part of a large and dynamic group of students, faculty, staff, and alumni who are all here to support and encourage you as you achieve your dream of a new career.
But nothing will compare to the bonds that you’ll develop with your own instructors and classmates. They will be your teammates and your cheerleaders throughout the program.
As you get further into the program, your supervised clinical experience will let you learn from different members of our faculty and practice your assessment and treatment skills on real clients. These clinic shifts are also an important part of your education in the business side of the profession.
