Curriculum: Case Management
At successful completion of the two-year program, students will:
- Know how to communicate verbally and in writing with medical or legal professionals.
- Have a thorough understanding of correct medical terminology and its importance in the exchange of information among health professionals, including massage therapists.
- Understand the importance of keeping comprehensive patient records and know several types of charting, and how each is applied.
- Be able to encourage clients to make and maintain needed changes to lifestyle or environment.
- Formulate realistic therapeutic exercise management plans (with emphasis on patient self care) and develop strengthening or stretching regimens for specific musculoskeletal dysfunctions.
