Advanced Placement Option
Ready to take your career to the next level?
The trend in Canada is for employers, regulators, and insurance companies to prefer massage therapists with a 2200-hour diploma.
The independent learning format of our program allows you to keep working as a massage therapist while upgrading your education. You can choose either weekly tutorials or the monthly option and continue to live and work in your home community.
If you are a massage therapist who has graduated from a short course similar to our first year, you may qualify for advanced placement into our second year, which leads to our 2200-hour Diploma in Remedial Massage Therapy. Second-year studies refine and build on your existing skills with a focus on pathology, assessment and treatment, and advanced practice management.
If you have an acceptable qualification in basic relaxation massage or the equivalent, you will be eligible to challenge our first-year exam, which has in written, oral and practical components.
In order to prepare for this exam, you will need to purchase our first-year course materials, which will guide you through all of our first-year assignments, lecture notes and module exams. You will also need to acquire any of our core textbooks that you do not already have. Most students find they need several weeks for review before challenging the exam.
